CVS Shopping Trip 7/12/2011

Okay, I need to get back in the routine of posting on my blog more often.  It's been hard with the kids home for summer break.  I have still been searching for deals at CVS and Super Target.  I've also started shopping more at Staples.  I'll post that shopping trip later.

I have not been impressed by the CVS gas deals.  It seems that they have cut back on their ECB deals because of this offering.  There are still good deals out there just fewer and farther in between.  Today I purchased 4-12pk Coke Zero, 1 box Fruit Loops cereal, 1 box Raisin Bran cereal, 1 Bic Soleil Shimmer razor, 2-3pk Dial bar soap, 3 Skintimate shave gels and 1 Balance energy bar.  I paid $19.76 out of pocket for all of the above items and received $5.69 ECB to use during my next shopping trip.

Here is how to take advantage of the above deals.

• I planned on purchasing the Complete Multi-purpose contact solution for $7.99 and receive $7.99 ECB for FREE (limit 1) contact solution but my local CVS was sold out of this.
• The Balance Bar was $1.69 and receive $1.69 ECB to make this FREE (limit 1)
• Coke products: Buy 3-12pk for $10 get 1-12pk FREE.  So, Coke 12pk is 4/$10 a great price for around here!  I purchased 4-12pk Coke Zero for $10.
• Kellogg's Cereal 2/$5 plus recieve $1 ECB when you purchase 2. This brings the price down to 2/$4.  I purchased a box of Fruit Loops (picked by the boys) and a box of Raisin Bran.  I used a coupon for $0.75/2 plus received $1 ECB for a total of $1.62 per box.  I've done better but still think that is a good deal for name brand cereal.
• Skintimate Shave Gel is on sale this week for $1.99 each.  A good price for this shave gel.  I bought 3.
• Bic Soleil Shimmer Razor is priced at $6.99.  Use the MC for $3/1 plus receive $3 ECB bringing the total cost of this razor to $0.99!
• Dial Bar Soap is BOGO.  The 3 pk is priced at $2.77 the second pack is free.
• I had $9.00 ECB from my spring spending (you receive $ back with ECB quarterly depending on your spending during that quarter) plus I had a $1 ECB for and additional $10 off my total bill.
• My total out of pocket spending today was $19.76 and I received $5.69 ECB to use during my next shopping trip.  If you consider the ECB I earned today my total would be $14.07.  Good deals!
