I almost didn't even stop at CVS this week. Looking at the ad, I didn't see any eye catching deals. Sure there are sales and some low prices but not many ways to earn ECBs. That's the key to getting your money back. However, I checked out my favorite website Hip2Save.com and found a way to get a few ECBs. I went mainly for the paper towels. It seems we never can have too many in this house with 2 kids and 2 dogs and a cat. Wow! CVS has Bounty Basic paper towel 8 pk on sale for $5.99. Plus, I had a coupon for $1/1 which brought the 8 pk price down to $4.99. I thought this was a decent deal. Also, Suave kids shampoo is on sale 2/$3. Not a bad price so I picked up the last 2 bottles. The ECB deal was for blink tears. They are priced at $7.99 plus receive $7.99 ECBs so essentially were free. I used my ECBs that I earned last week and only paid $2.25 out of pocket. I still have $2 ECBs from last week and I earned $7.99 ECBs this week. I still have $9.99 ECBs to use next week!

Staples
So today I discovered the perks of shopping at Staples. Staples has a rewards card where you can earn money back on all purchases made plus they have various deals where you can earn reward dollars to spend at a later date. Money back in your pocket. I learned at my last visit to Staples that if you bring in your used ink cartridges they will give you $2.00 back. So, I returned my ink cartridge and should receive an email with my money in the next few weeks. The cashier explained to me that there are no restrictions on these rewards. You can go in and buy something for $2.00, use the coupon and walk out with your free item. I went to Staples not only to buy ink but to check out this deal that they have on printer paper this week. Here are the details:
*HP 8.5″ x 11″, Multipurpose Bright Paper, 500 sheets/ream $5.99
Use the $1/1 coupon found here (coupons.com) (click on the “Office Supplies” category)
Pay $4.99
Submit for the $4.99 Easy Rebate (limit 2 rebates per household)
Final Cost = FREE Paper!
So, I got my printer paper. Used the coupon for $1/1 and filled out the Easy Rebate online for FREE printer paper! I did not notice until I got home that the limit on this deal is 2 per household so next time I'll be sure to check the limit and pick up 2 packs (this is one thing that shows up on those back to school supply lists in the fall)! I will definitely be shopping at Staple more often!
