Okay, so Target is my best friend! I love the savings!!! I was able to purchase Red Baron Pizza prices at $2.99 after the $1/1 coupon only cost me $1.99. I picked up a 2 pack of C Eveready batteries priced at $0.99 and used the $1/1 Energizer coupon for FREE batteries. I've been wanting to try the Kraft sandwich shop mayo priced at $2.19. I used a Target coupon (print from their website) for $0.75/1 and manufacturer coupon $0.75/1 and paid $0.69 for it. They were out of the Kraft jet puffed marshmallows (priced at $0.99) so I couldn't use my Target coupon for $0.50/2 for a final cost of $0.74 each. I did get 2 Kraft Shredded Cheese 8oz packages priced at $2.04 and used manufacturer coupon $1.25/1 plus Target coupon $1/1 for a final cost of $0.92 each (I keep these in the freezer until I need them). I picked up a 4 ct. box of Nature Valley Granola Bars (from the dollar spot) priced at $1 and used a Target coupon for $0.50/1 for a final cost of $0.50 (I have a large box of granola bars that I purchased from Sams Club that I refill with deals like these). Pair that bread with the Carving Board deli meat priced at $2.39 which I used a $1/1 manufacturer coupon and a $0.75/1 Target coupon for a final cost of $0.64! Deals for the week of Jan 25th

Not a big amount of savings out there that interested me this week. I made a trip to CVS anyway knowing that I had the $15 ECB from last week to use. Boy did I score on some great bargains! I bought 1 Tilex Mold & Mildew (we use this a lot here in Florida) priced 2/$4 and used a $1/1 coupon and paid $1 for it. I also picked up 1 Xtra laundry detergent 28 loads marked down to $1.49 and used a $1/1 coupon for a final price of $0.49 (I may have to go back for another!), I looked for the Crest Pro-Health mouthwash priced at $3.99 and receive $3.99 ECB for a final price of FREE but they were sold out (guess there are other couponers in the area). I did get 2 DiGiorno pizzas only because they were price BOGO (cheap pizza night coming up!) and Poptarts were on sale for $1.99. My total after coupons was $16.52. Use the $15 ECB from last week and I paid a whopping $1.52 out of pocket! My savings today were $31.88.

I plan to go to Super Target later this week. Each trip there I make sure I have a coupon for Energizer ($1/1) and I pick up a pack of the Eveready (Energizer made) batteries located in the dollar spot. These are priced at $0.99 use the $1/1 coupon=Free batteries! I have a stockpile of batteries now. I'll also pick up a 8ct. travel size of Band Aid brand band aids priced at $0.97 and use my $0.50/1 coupon and pay $0.47 for them. More pizza! Red Baron pizza is priced at $2.99 and I have a $1/1 coupon to use so the total will be $1.99 for a pizza! Last, I'll keep my boys healthy with Flinstone sour vitamins marked down to $4.99 and use my $1/1 coupon and a Target coupon for $2/1. I'll pay only $1.99 for vitamins! Unheard of! Those are the deals that I'll score this week.

Of course, I learned about all of these great deals from Hip2Save.com. This website will even tell you where to find the coupons that I am using. MyCouponLady.com has a great database to search for coupons. Some you can print online others I get from the Sunday newspaper.

Tell me about any other websites, resources or great deals that you may know of!

CVS Shopping Trip 1/19/11

CVS Shopping Trip 1/19/2011....
Great deal scenario this week! I purchased the items pictured: 6-12 packs of Pepsi products, 1 Almay Pure Blend Make-Up, 1 Tom of Maine deodorant, 1 bottle of Tide laundry detergent, 1 bottle of Dawn Ultra, 1 Crest Pro Health toothpaste, 1 Johnson & Johnson floss, 2 Purex 3 in 1 laundry detergent/fabric softner, and 2 packages of Orbit gum for only $21.38 and I received $15 ECB to use next week!

Here's how...first, I scanned my CVS card (very valuable) at the red magic coupon machine and scored $7 ECB (of course I used this toward my purchase).
  • Crest Prohealth toothpaste 4.2 oz was priced at $2.99 I used a $1 off/1 coupon fround in the 1/16 P&G and paid $1.99 for it plus I got $2 ECB back so this was essentially FREE!
  • Tom's of Maine deodorant 2.25 oz priced at $3.99 Got $3 ECB. This item cost $0.99 in the end.
  • 6 Pepsi 12 pack priced at 3/$10. 6 were $20. Spend $20 get $10 ECB back. So I got 6 packs for $10 or $1.66 per 12 pack.
  • Orbit gum 14 ct was BOGO plus use BOGO coupon=2 packs for FREE!
  • Tide 2X Ultra Total Care 32 loads priced at $5.97 use $1 off/1=$4.97
  • Dawn dish soap 10.3 oz priced at $0.97 Use $0.25/1 coupon=$0.72
  • Johnson and Johnson Dental Floss Priced at $0.99 Use $1.00/1 coupon=FREE
  • 2 Purex Complete 3 in 1 Sheets Priced $7.99 each. Sale BOGO plus use 2-$1/1 coupons Pay $2.99 each
  • I then used my $7 ECB that printed from the magic coupon machine
Total money out of pocket spent was $21.83 plus I received $15 ECB to use next trip. Total savings for today was $46.60! Not bad! BTW, I learned about these deal scenarios from the Hip2Save website (link located on the right side of this page).

My very first couponing trip

Thanks to a good friend, I've learned how to save money by stacking coupons and using them during sales. I use numerous resources to find these deal scenarios. My very first couponing trip occurred right before Christmas 2010. I was addicted! I was able to get many things on my grocery list for not a lot of money. I will post my shopping trips throughout the year with instructions on how to score the deals that I was able to get. I will also add the web addresses for some great resources as well. Happy Saving in 2011!
