Staples at CVS this week

This week is great for refilling that pantry.  Look at all of these staples I bought for just $32.07 today at CVS.  $32.07 for 3-12pk pepsi products, 2 boxes of Nurtri-Grain bars, 3 boxes of Pop-Tarts, a container of SunKist raisins, 2-4pk Dole fruit bowls, 2 boxes of Stove Top, 4 boxes of Kraft mac and cheese, 1-8pk Sparkle paper towels, 2 boxes of Peeps, 2 Cadbury eggs, Halls cough drops, Orbit 14pk gum, Colgate toothbrush and Skintimate shaving gel.  27 items for $32!  $1.18 per item!

  • Another great deal that I did not get today Kellogg's cereal $1.87 buy 2 and use MC $1/2=$1.37 per box
  • Nutri-Grain Bars BOGO and priced at $4.29 plus use MC for $1/2=$1.64 per box
  • Poptarts on sale for $1.99 use MC for $1/3=$4.97 or 1.65 per box
  • Dole fruit bowls priced at 3/$5 and use MC for $1.00/2=$1.16 per box
  • Orbit gum I had a free coupon for this
I had $7 ECB from last week to use this week and I now have $8.50 ECB to use next week!

Final Cost $1.53


I made a great trip to CVS this morning!  I was able to buy 3 Skintimate shaving creams, a box of Teddy Bear crackers, 2 Crest ProHealth toothpaste, 2 Flinstone vitamins, 2 Dawn Hand Renewal dish soap, Suave Kids Shampoo, Coppertone Kids Sunscreen , and CVS brand adult sunscreen all for a final cost of $1.53. 

Keep in mind that I had numerous ECB and coupons saved up.  That is very easy to do if you shop at CVS frequently.  I bought the 2 Dawn Hand Renewal dish soaps priced at $0.97 each and used 2- $1/1 coupons to make these both FREE!  I bought 2 Crest ProHealth tootpastes for $3.49 each and received $2.50 ECB back on each ($5 ECB total) plus I used a coupon for $1/1 and another coupon for $0.75/1 for a final cost of $0.25 for both!  The Skintimate shaving creams I purchased because I had 3 free coupons.  All 3 were totally FREE!  Suave Kids Shampoo was priced at 3/$5 or $1.16 each and used a coupon for $0.50/1 for a final cost of $1.16.  Coppertone Sunscreen priced at $8.99 and receive $2 ECB.  For a final cost of $6.99.  CVS Sunscreen was $5.99.  The sunscreen was not on sale but we were in need of more.  Flinstone Vitamins were not on my shopping list but the magic coupon machine gave me a coupon for $3.00/1 and I had a manufacturer coupon for $1/1.  I went to check the price of vitamins and found that they were buy one get one 1/2 off.  I bought 2 Flinstone vitamins for $7.24.  Less than the cost of 1 box at regular price!  Finally I picked up a box of CVS Teddy Bear cookies for $1 (regular price).  I had a coupon for 25% off my total sale from email (sign up your CVS card to receive special offers by email).  My final cost after all my coupons and ECBs was $8.53 and I got $7 ECB back for a final cost of $1.53 for all 13 items.

Today's shopping adventure

So, today I was able to refill our supply of things that we really need!  Things like toilet paper, tissues, cereal, granola bars, band aids and spaghetti sauce.  The above pictured items I bought today for a final cost of $43.60.  If I paid full price for these items it would have cost me $96.90!  

Here's how:  First deal was to spend $25 on select Proctor and Gamble products and receive $10 ECB.  I purchased 2 Charmin Big Rolls 16 pk priced at $10 each and 4 boxes of Puffs Plus with Lotion priced at  2/$3 and used a coupon for $0.25 off/1 Charmin and 2 coupons for $0.50 off 1 Puffs Plus with Lotion for a final cost of all 6 items for $14.  Dial Nurtiskin Lotion 21 oz is priced at $4.99 buy one and receive $3 ECB.  I used a coupon for $1/1 for a final cost of $0.99.  Aussie or Herbal Essence Shampoo and Conditioner priced at 2/$5.97 and receive $2 ECB.  I used a BOGO coupon and paid $0.99 for both (1 shampoo and 1 conditioner).  Dial Bar Soap priced at 2/$4 plus use a coupon for $0.35/1 for a final cost of $1.65 for 3 bars of soap.  Purex 3 in 1 laundry sheets are priced at $3.99.  Use the $3/1 coupon for a final cost of $0.99 for 20 loads of laundry.  Glad Sense & Spray (I love these things) is marked down to $7 plus use the $3/1 coupon for a final cost of $4.  Pepperidge Farm Milano Cookies are priced 10/$10.  I bought 1 and used a coupon for $0.50/1 for a final cost of $0.50 (a nice treat for spring break).  Kelloggs cereal is marked 2/$5.  I received a CVS coupon last week for $1/1 Kelloggs cereal and paired that with a manufacturer coupon of $1/2 for a final cost of 2 boxes of cereal for $3 or $1.50 per box!  Colgate Pro Clinical toothpaste was marked 75% off down to $1.24.  I used a coupon for $0.75/1 for a final cost of $0.49!  Right Guard Mens Deodorant was priced at $2.99 plus receive $1 ECB.  I used a BOGO coupon and paid $1.99 for 2.  Ragu spaghetti sauce was priced at 3/$5.  This was on my grocery list so I picked up 3 jars.  Skintimate shaving cream is marked down to $1.99.  I bought 2.  Band-aid brand products spend $10 receive $5 ECB.  I bought 2 packages of bandaids to complete this deal.  Quaker Chewy Granola Bars were marked down to $2.22.  I used a coupon for $0.75/2 for a final cost of $1.84 per box.  Rice Krispies Treats were marked down to $1.72.  Finally, Austin Peanut Butter crackers 8 pack was marked 10/$10.  I bought one package.  In all, I purchase 29 items for an average price of $1.48 per item.  My total out of pocket expense was $59.60 plus I earned $16 ECB for a final overall cost of $43.60!

$10 Shopping Trip

The above pictured items which includes:  a 4 pk of bottled water, a gallon of milk, 32 loads of Wisk laundry detergent, 2 boxes of Poptarts, 4 Sense & Spray refills, Cortizone 10 cream, Revlon Nail Polish, 6 count pk of raisins, 2 bags of Nestle Crunch Easter Eggs, 1 pk Wonka Robin Eggs, 2 Starburst filled eggs, 2 Skittle filled eggs, 2 Chocolate Bunnies and 2 pks of Trident Vitality gum cost me a total of $10.33 at CVS today!

Here's how:  I took advantage of the sale on Just The Basics 24 pk bottled water for $1.98.  McArthur milk priced at $3.19 a gallon and received $1.00 ECB for a final cost of $2.19 a gallon.  Revlon nail polish priced at $3.99 plus receive $3 ECB for a final cost of $0.99.  Sense & Spray refill on sale for 2/$6 plus spend $12 and get $4 ECB I bought 4 refills and used 4-$1/1 coupons. Final cost $1 each!  Great deal as these are normally priced over $4 at regular price!  Wisk detergent priced at 2/$10 plus receive $2 ECB.  I bought 1 at $5 and used a $2/1 coupon plus received $2 ECB for a final cost of $1!  Cortison-10 normally marked at over $6 was on sale for $4.99 plus received $1 ECB.  I paid $3.99 for 1 tube...almost 1/2 price.  Easter candy deal of spend $10 get $3 ECB.  I bought the above items and used 2-$0.55/1 coupons on the Nestle Crunch eggs and $1/3 for the 2 bags Nestle Crunch eggs and the Wonka Robin Eggs.  Last, I bought 2 pkgs of Trident Vitality gum priced at 3/$3 and used a bogo coupon for a final price of $0.50 per pack of gum.  I used $23.58 ECBs from last week which brought my total out of pocket to $22.33 and earned $12 ECB which brings the final cost for everything to $10.33!

The boys will have 2 full Easter baskets thanks to all of these great deals on candy!!!

"That's a lot of food!" The cashier said this to me as she looked at my cart.

Target grocery shopping today.  What great deals!  I love Target!  I bought 95 items including jeans for Nicholas, dishwasher detergent, charcoal, garbage bags, bottled water, soda, 2 packages of hamburger, 1 package of steak, 2 bags of skinless, boneless chicken breast, sausage, deli meat, Doritos, vitamins, shaving cream, birthday cards, produce, numerous frozen entrees and much, much more for only $186.76.  I saved a whopping $49.94 in coupons!  That averages less than $2 per item.

A few deals I took advantage of today follow.  Kellogg's Crunchy Nut cereal is marked down to 2/$5.  I bought 2 boxes and used two $1/1 coupon for a cost of 2/$3 or $1.50 each.  Nature Valley 4 ct granola bars located in the dollar spot are priced at $1 per box.  Buy 3 boxes for a total of $3.  Use the Target coupon (located on their website) for $1.50/3 plus stack it with $0.50/1 manufacturer coupon and the manufacturer coupon for $1/2.  Total discount after coupons is $3=3 FREE boxes of granola bars!  Lean Cuisine is marked down to $1.80 each.  I bought 2 and used the Target coupon for $1.10/2=$1.25 each.  Miracle Whip 30 oz jar is on sale for $2.50.  Use the Target coupon for $1/2 plus use two of the $1/1 manufacturer coupons for a total cost of $2.00 or $1.00 each!  Market Pantry 2.5 lb bag of frozen boneless/skinless chicken breast is on sale for $5.50 each.  I bought 2 bags and used the Target coupon for $1.50/2 for a final cost of $4.75 per bag.  That's a lot of chicken for $4.75!  Totino's Pizza Rolls 15 ct box is priced at $1.52.  I bought 2 boxes and used the Target coupon for $0.50/2 and a manufacturer coupon for $0.50/2 for a final cost of $0.92 per box.  I bought a loaf of Target bread for $0.99 and used a Target coupon for $0.50 off for a final cost of $0.49 for a loaf of bread!  Travel size Satin Care shave gel is marked at $0.97.  I bought 2 and used 2 coupons for $0.55/1 for a cost of $0.42 each.  Doritos are on sale for 2/$5...I bought 1 bag for $2.00.  I also used coupons for Flinstone vitamins, fruit snacks, fruit roll ups, apples, a complete Wanchai Ferry Chinese dinner, frozen burritos, Pillsbury cookie dough, shredded cheese, pasta, oatmeal, deli meat, and garbage bags.  A full cart for only $186.76.
